No, the 80th Anniversary Barbie Pop! Retro Toys is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2025 to commemorate the milestone, and it is widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. While limited edition variants may exist, the standard SKU 152 figure is a common collectible.
As a 2025 release, the Funko Pop! Barbie 80th Anniversary figure does not yet have an established secondary market value. Its worth is currently determined by its retail price, which typically ranges between $12 and $15 USD, and any potential premium will depend on future collector demand and scarcity.
To authenticate your 2025 Barbie 80th Anniversary Pop! (SKU 152), verify that the box features the official Funko logo, the Barbie 80th Anniversary branding, and a scannable QR code linking to Funko’s verification system. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the standard Funko Pop! base, while ensuring the packaging is free of tampering or re-sealing. If the item lacks these specific manufacturing markers or the QR code does not resolve to the official product page, it is likely a counterfeit.
The 80th Anniversary Barbie Pop! Retro Toys was released in 2025 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the 80th Anniversary Barbie Pop! Retro Toys line, so the figures are technically still in print. However, availability can fluctuate significantly due to high demand and production schedules, meaning specific figures may be out of stock at major retailers like Target, Walmart, or the Funko website at any given time. It is recommended to check current inventory on the Funko website or authorized retailers to confirm immediate availability for new purchases.
Funko Pop! figures are generally not graded by major third-party authentication services like PSA or Beckett, as they are considered mass-produced collectibles rather than unique investment items. To condition-check this specific 80th Anniversary Barbie figure, you should inspect it for common defects such as seam lines, paint overspray, and scratches on the vinyl surface. Additionally, verify that the figure is in its original, unopened box with the window intact, as sealed packaging is the primary factor determining value for ungraded Funko items.
