Common questions about the Alebrije Dante Pop! Disney from Funko (2021).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Alebrije Dante Pop! Disney is not considered rare, as it was a standard production item released by Funko in 2021. It was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own store during its release window. While specific production numbers are not publicly disclosed, the figure is generally easy to find on the secondary market, distinguishing it from limited-edition exclusives.
The Alebrije Dante Pop! Vinyl Figure (SKU 1086) is a standard retail item that typically sells for its original retail price of approximately $12.00 to $15.00 USD when new in box. Because it is a common, non-exclusive release from 2021, it does not command a premium in the secondary market, and used copies generally trade for less than the retail price.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Alebrije Dante (SKU 1086), first verify that the box is sealed with the original shrink wrap and that the printed SKU on the bottom of the box matches the number on the figure's base. Examine the figure for common counterfeits, such as poor paint application, misaligned eyes, or a lack of the official Funko logo on the base. While the specific year of 2021 is not typically printed on the packaging, you can cross-reference the SKU 1086 against Funko's official catalog to confirm it corresponds to the correct release. If the item lacks these consistent manufacturing details, it is likely a replica.
The Alebrije Dante Pop! Disney was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Alebrije Dante Pop! (SKU 1086), meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from official retail channels. This figure was part of a limited 2021 Disney collaboration, so availability is now restricted to the secondary market, where prices typically exceed the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for scratches, paint chips, and molding defects, while also verifying that the box is free from significant wear, creases, or damage to the window. For the Alebrije Dante variant, pay particular attention to the intricate horn and tail details, as these are prone to breakage or paint loss. If you require a formal grade for investment purposes, you can submit the sealed box to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's and packaging's overall condition.
