Common questions about the Alex Morgan Pop! Sports Legends from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Alex Morgan Pop! Sports Legends figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's Sports Legends line, and while specific variants may have limited print runs, the base figure is widely available through major retailers and the secondary market.
The Alex Morgan Pop! Sports Legends figure (SKU 13) is a standard retail collectible that typically trades for its original retail price of $12.00 to $15.00 when new in box. Because it is a common, mass-produced item without a limited print run, it does not generally command a premium on the secondary market, and its value is unlikely to increase significantly over time.
To authenticate your Alex Morgan Pop! Sports Legends figure, verify that the box features the official Funko logo and a holographic security sticker, which is a standard anti-counterfeit measure for their products. The figure itself should have a smooth, consistent plastic finish with sharp details, and the base should be securely attached without loose parts. While there is no single definitive "authenticity code" for individual figures, purchasing from authorized retailers like Funko.com, major toy stores, or reputable online marketplaces significantly reduces the risk of receiving a counterfeit. If the packaging is damaged, missing the security sticker, or the figure has poor paint application and rough seams, it may be a replica.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a Funko Pop! Sports Legends figure of Alex Morgan with SKU 13. While Funko has produced soccer-themed figures, this specific item does not appear in standard release databases, so I cannot verify its existence or release timeline without speculating.
Funko has discontinued the Alex Morgan Pop! Sports Legends figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. This item is currently only available through the secondary market, such as resale platforms or local collectible shops, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you cannot obtain a professional grade for this item. To condition-check the figure, you should inspect it under bright light for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or scratches on the vinyl surface. You should also verify that the figure fits properly within its original window box and that the packaging is free of significant damage, as these factors primarily determine its value in the secondary market.
