Inspect the figure for high-quality paint application, clear eyes, and a solid base, as counterfeit versions often feature blurry printing, loose joints, or poor plastic molding. Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or misaligned eyes, as well as checking the box for any damage, dents, or fading. For a formal grade, you must submit the sealed, unopened box to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the box's structural integrity and the figure's condition. Be aware that grading costs and turnaround times vary by service, and the grade reflects the item's state at the time of submission.
