Common questions about the AMC29 Captain Carter from Hot Toys.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
I cannot find reliable information confirming that the Hot Toys Captain Carter figure (SKU 909166) is considered rare. As a standard mass-produced 1/6th scale collectible, its availability is generally consistent with other mainstream Hot Toys releases, and there is no widely documented evidence of limited production runs or extreme scarcity for this specific item.
I cannot find reliable information regarding the specific market value of the Hot Toys AMC29 Captain Carter figure (SKU 909166). Collectible values fluctuate based on condition, packaging integrity, and regional demand, so I recommend checking current listings on secondary marketplaces like eBay or specialized collector forums for accurate, up-to-date pricing.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without inspecting it in person. To authenticate your Hot Toys Captain Carter (SKU 909166), you should check for the official Hot Toys logo, a unique serial number on the packaging, and high-quality paint application and sculpting details that are consistent with the manufacturer's standards. If the item lacks these markers or the packaging appears altered, it may be a counterfeit.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for the Hot Toys Captain Carter figure with SKU 909166. While Hot Toys has produced various Marvel figures, the specific timing for this particular SKU is not clearly documented in available public records.
Hot Toys has not publicly announced a reprint for the AMC29 Captain Carter figure, and it is generally considered out of print. Consequently, new stock is typically unavailable from official retailers, and the figure is primarily found on the secondary market through third-party resellers.
Grading a Hot Toys 1/6th scale figure like the Captain Carter (SKU 909166) typically involves a visual inspection for common manufacturing defects such as paint transfer, seam lines, or loose joints, as well as checking for signs of wear like scuffs on the costume or damage to the sculpt. While third-party grading services like Beckett (BGS) do exist for action figures, they are rarely used for modern, high-value collectibles like Hot Toys, which are usually valued based on their original packaging condition and completeness of accessories. For most collectors, the most reliable method is to compare the item against high-resolution photos of a known "mint" example to identify any deviations in paint application or plastic quality.
