Examine the figure for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the specific waxed texture on the character's hair and clothing, which should feel distinct from standard plastic. Condition-checking a Funko Pop! vinyl figure involves inspecting the physical item for defects such as scratches, paint chips, or misaligned parts, while also verifying that the original box is free of major damage, creases, or fading. For the Andy Stitzer (Waxed) variant, pay particular attention to the integrity of the wax coating on the figure, as this finish is more susceptible to smudging or peeling than standard vinyl. If you are seeking a formal grade for resale or collection purposes, you must submit the sealed, unopened box to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the condition of the packaging and the figure inside.
