Common questions about the Angel Di Maria Pop! Football from Funko (2021).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
Angel Di Maria Pop! Football figures are not considered rare, as they were part of a standard mass-production run released by Funko in 2021. These items were widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels, meaning they are generally easy to find in both new and used condition.
The value of a 2021 Angel Di Maria Pop! Football (SKU 46) fluctuates based on condition and market demand, but it typically sells for between $10 and $20 in retail or secondary markets. Sealed figures generally command a higher price than open ones, and prices can vary depending on the specific retailer or auction platform. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on eBay or specialized collectibles marketplaces is recommended.
Authenticating a Funko Pop! requires examining the physical details, as there is no universal serial number for individual figures. Look for a clear, sharp logo on the base, consistent paint application without bleeding, and a smooth, uniform plastic texture without rough seams or flash marks. Genuine 2021 releases typically feature the standard Funko logo and copyright information molded into the bottom of the base, while counterfeit items often have blurry logos, off-color paint, or poor articulation. If the figure was purchased from an authorized retailer, it is highly likely to be authentic, but any significant deviations in quality suggest it may be a replica.
The Angel Di Maria Pop! Football was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko typically discontinues specific licensed sports figures once the player transfers to a new club or the licensing agreement expires, which likely occurred when Angel Di Maria left Manchester United in 2022. Consequently, the 2021 Angel Di Maria Pop! Football is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from official Funko retailers. Collectors seeking this item generally must look to the secondary market, such as eBay, where prices are often significantly higher than the original retail value.
To condition-check a Funko Pop! figure, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, and verify that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. Check the packaging for any dents, tears, or signs of previous opening, as sealed boxes command higher value. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service, though this is less common for standard Pop! figures than for trading cards.
