Common questions about the Angus Young Pop! Rocks from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Angus Young Pop! Rocks figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard, mass-produced Funko release in 2019. These items were widely distributed through major retail chains and online marketplaces, making them relatively common and easy to find in the secondary market.
The Angus Young Pop! Rocks (SKU 91) is a standard production item from 2019, and its value is primarily determined by current market demand for AC/DC merchandise. As a common release, it typically sells for a modest price, often ranging from a few dollars to around $10–$15 USD for a sealed figure, depending on the condition and the specific retailer. It is not considered a rare collectible, so its value does not significantly exceed its original retail price.
It is not possible to definitively authenticate a specific Funko Pop! Rocks figure as "real" without physical inspection, as counterfeit items exist in the secondary market. To verify authenticity, examine the packaging for high-quality printing, correct logo placement, and a scannable barcode that matches the official SKU 91. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct Funko branding on the base. If the item was purchased from an authorized retailer, it is highly likely to be genuine, but any signs of poor quality control or packaging discrepancies should prompt further verification.
The Angus Young Pop! Rocks was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Rocks are a limited-edition series that was discontinued in 2020, so the Angus Young figure is no longer in print. It is not available to buy new from Funko or major retailers, and the item is now only obtainable through the secondary market.
Funko Pop! Rocks are officially graded by third-party services such as PSA, which evaluate the figure based on the condition of the vinyl body, the rock base, and the packaging. Key inspection points include checking for hairline cracks on the vinyl, ensuring the rock base is intact and not chipped, and verifying that the original box is free from significant creases or damage. Because these items are small and often sold in bulk, grading them individually can be cost-prohibitive, so many collectors rely on visual inspection for major defects rather than professional certification.
