The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Antonio Madrigal Pop! Disney is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the 2021 *Encanto* release, and because it was widely available in retail stores and online, it is common in the secondary market.
The Antonio Madrigal Pop! Disney (SKU 1149) is a standard retail release from 2021, and its value is typically determined by its condition and whether it is sealed in the box. As a common figure from a popular franchise, it generally sells for a modest price, often ranging from $5 to $15 for loose figures and slightly higher for sealed boxes, depending on current market demand.
To authenticate your Antonio Madrigal Pop! Disney (SKU 1149), verify that the box is sealed with the standard Funko holographic sticker and that the figure itself features the correct paint application, particularly on the hair and clothing details. Check the base of the figure for the official Funko logo and copyright date, which should align with the 2021 release window. If the paint is sloppy, the plastic feels brittle, or the box lacks proper branding, it is likely a counterfeit, so comparing it side-by-side with high-resolution images of a verified authentic unit is the most reliable method for confirmation.
The Antonio Madrigal Pop! Disney was released in 2021 by Funko.
The Antonio Madrigal Pop! Disney (SKU 1149) is currently out of print and no longer available for purchase directly from Funko. As a character from the 2021 film *Encanto*, this figure was part of a limited production run that has since sold out. Collectors seeking a new copy must rely on the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail value.
To condition-check a 2021 Antonio Madrigal Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, paying close attention to the hands, feet, and the edges of his hat and shoes. Verify that the head is properly seated and that the eyes are aligned, as misalignment is a common flaw. While you can perform this visual inspection yourself, obtaining an official grade requires submitting the figure to a third-party grading service like Beckett Grading Services (BGS) or Certified Collectibles Group (CCG), which will assign a numerical score based on specific condition criteria.
