No, the Aragorn (Army of the Dead) Pop! Movies is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released in 2023 that was widely available through major retailers and Funko's official channels. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive release, its production run was large enough to keep it commonly available on the secondary market.
The Aragorn (Army of the Dead) Pop! Movies figure, released in 2023 with SKU 1444, typically retails for approximately $12.99 to $14.99. To authenticate your Funko Pop! Movies Aragorn (Army of the Dead) figure, first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the specific SKU 1444, which corresponds to the 2023 release. Examine the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper articulation, and the distinct sculpting details characteristic of the licensed movie character. If the packaging appears generic, lacks the standard Funko branding, or the figure has significant paint flaws, it is likely a counterfeit. Funko does not publish a public, real-time list of items that are currently in print versus out of print, so the exact current production status of SKU 1444 cannot be definitively confirmed without checking live inventory. However, because this figure was released in 2023, it is likely no longer in active production and is primarily available through third-party resellers or the secondary market. You should check major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, or Target for new stock, but be prepared to pay a premium if the item is out of print.
You can grade this figure by submitting it to a professional third-party service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on factors such as paint application, seam lines, and overall wear. For a simpler condition check, inspect the vinyl under bright light for scratches, discoloration, or "chipping" on the edges, and verify that the figure stands upright without significant wobble. If you are looking for a certified grade, ensure the figure is in its original, unopened box, as grading companies typically only accept sealed items for authentication and grading.
