Common questions about the Arcanine Pop! Games from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Arcanine Pop! Games figure (SKU 920) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2023 as part of Funko's ongoing Pokémon line, meaning it was widely distributed and is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The retail value of the 2023 Arcanine Pop! Games figure (SKU 920) is typically between $12 and $15. As a standard-sized vinyl figure from a recent release year, it generally trades at or near its original retail price on the secondary market, with value increasing only if the item is sealed in a special edition box or if the specific variant is no longer in production.
Funko does not provide a centralized authentication service for individual Pop! figures, so there is no official way to verify the authenticity of a specific unit. You can assess the item by checking for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a clear, legible barcode on the box that matches the official SKU 920. If the packaging, font, or figure quality appears significantly off compared to known genuine examples, it is likely a counterfeit.

Funko has not publicly announced a discontinuation of the Arcanine Pop! Games figure, so it is likely still in print. However, specific production runs for individual SKUs can fluctuate, so availability may vary by retailer. I recommend checking current stock on major Funko retailers' websites to confirm if it is available to buy new.
To grade a 2023 Arcanine Pop! Games figure, you should submit it to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, which will evaluate the item’s condition and assign a numerical score from 1 to 10. The grading process typically involves inspecting the vinyl for defects like paint chips, scratches, or mold lines, as well as verifying the packaging integrity if submitting it as a sealed box. While you can perform a preliminary visual inspection at home to check for obvious flaws, a formal grade requires sending the item to a certified grader for an official certification.
