Common questions about the Ariel & Friends Pop! Disney from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Ariel & Friends Pop! Disney is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2023 as part of a multi-pack, meaning it was manufactured in large quantities and is widely available. Collectors generally do not assign rarity status to standard multi-pack figures unless they are part of a limited edition or exclusive release.
The Ariel & Friends Pop! Disney (SKU 1367) is a standard retail release from 2023, and its value is primarily determined by its condition and whether it remains sealed in its original box. As a common mass-produced item, it typically sells for close to its original retail price or slightly below, with little to no premium over the sticker value. Collectors should check current listings on secondary markets like eBay for specific sold prices, as values for unsealed figures generally do not appreciate significantly.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! #1367, first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the plastic window is intact. Examine the figure for consistent paint application, correct proportions, and a clean base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing, uneven seams, or off-color details. You can also cross-reference the SKU and year on the box with official Funko release records to ensure the packaging matches the 2023 production run. If the figure lacks the standard Funko logo on the base or feels unusually light, it is likely a replica.
The Ariel & Friends Pop! Disney was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation for the Ariel & Friends Pop! Disney (SKU 1367), so it is technically still in print. However, availability for this specific 2023 release is currently limited, and it is frequently sold out on major retail platforms like Amazon, Target, and the Funko website. You are most likely to find new stock through third-party marketplaces or by checking local toy stores, though prices may exceed the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for defects such as paint chips, cracks, or misaligned parts, while also verifying that the original box is free of significant damage, creases, or fading. For a formal grade, you should submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's and packaging's state. Be aware that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the process is not necessary if you are simply reselling the item as a standard collectible.
