No, the Ariel Pop! Disney figure (SKU 1362) is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-production release from 2023 that is widely available through major retailers and secondary markets. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive variant, its supply remains high relative to demand.
The Ariel Pop! Disney (SKU 1362) is a standard retail item with a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of $12.99. Its value is generally determined by its condition and whether it remains sealed in its original box, with unopened copies typically trading near retail price while opened figures are worth less. To authenticate your 2023 Ariel Pop! (SKU 1362), first verify that the figure is accompanied by the original Funko box, which should display the correct SKU, age grading, and a holographic security sticker. Inspect the physical figure for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the distinct Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy molding or incorrect color shades. While there is no single definitive test for home buyers, cross-referencing these details against high-resolution images from the official Funko website or reputable retailers is the most reliable method to confirm authenticity.
The Ariel Pop! Disney was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose real-time print status or discontinuation dates for specific Pop! figures, so it is not possible to definitively confirm if the Ariel Pop! (SKU 1362) is currently in print. Availability fluctuates frequently, and the figure may be out of stock at major retailers even if it remains technically in production. To determine current availability, you should check live inventory on Funko.com or authorized retailers, as these listings update in real time.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface defects such as paint chips, scratches, or mold lines, and verifying that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. You should also examine the box for any dents, tears, or faded printing, as the packaging condition significantly impacts the item's value. While professional grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade based on these factors, most collectors perform a visual inspection to ensure the figure is free of major flaws before purchase.
