Common questions about the Astarion Pop! Games from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Astarion Pop! Games figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2024 as part of the Dungeons & Dragons: Baldur's Gate 3 series. While specific variants like chases or exclusives may be harder to find, the base figure is widely available through major retailers.
The Astarion Pop! Games figure (SKU 1017) is a standard retail release from 2024, and its value is typically determined by its original retail price, which was approximately $12.99. Because it is a common, non-limited edition item, it does not command a significant premium on the secondary market, and its worth generally remains at or below its original retail cost depending on condition and local availability.
To authenticate your Astarion Pop! (SKU 1017), verify that the figure is made of solid vinyl with a matte finish and that the paint application is clean without significant bleeding or excess. Check the base for a clear, legible Funko logo and ensure the packaging, if present, displays the correct 2024 release date and barcode. While specific SKU numbers are not typically printed on the figure itself, the character's sculpt details and color scheme should match official Funko promotional images for the *Baldur's Gate 3* line. If the figure feels lightweight, has a plastic-like sheen, or features blurry paint, it is likely a counterfeit.

Funko Pop! Games figures, including the Astarion release, are typically produced in limited quantities and are not kept in continuous print. While the item may occasionally appear on the secondary market, it is generally considered out of print and is not available to purchase new directly from Funko.
To grade a Funko Pop!, you should submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, Beckett, or CGC, which will evaluate the item's condition and assign a numerical score. For a basic condition check, inspect the figure for common defects like paint errors, seam lines, and scratches, and verify that the head is properly seated on the body. Be aware that the specific SKU 1017 does not correspond to a standard Astarion release in the 2024 catalog, so you should verify the exact product details before submitting it for grading.
