No, the Atom Smasher Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-production item released in 2022 as part of the general Funko Pop! Movies lineup, meaning it was widely available through major retailers and is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The Atom Smasher Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1233) is a standard retail item that typically sells for its original retail price of approximately $12.00 to $15.00 in new, in-box condition. As a common release from 2022, it does not command a significant premium on the secondary market, with used copies often trading for less than the original retail price.
You can authenticate your Funko Pop! Atom Smasher by checking for the official holographic sticker on the bottom of the box and verifying that the SKU 1233 matches the product details on the packaging. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp molding, and the correct Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or poor seam lines. If the box lacks the standard Funko branding or the figure feels unusually light, it may be a replica.
The Atom Smasher Pop! Movies was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Atom Smasher Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1233), so it is no longer in print or available to purchase new from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this item must look for used copies on the secondary market, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! primarily involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or misaligned parts, while also verifying that the head is properly seated and the base is free of cracks. For the Atom Smasher figure specifically, examine the glowing effects on the hammer and the intricate details of the armor, as these areas are prone to wear. If you are seeking a formal grade, the figure must be submitted to a third-party grading service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on the item's preservation and centering within its box.
