The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Auston Matthews Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 74) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2021. Being a popular NHL player, this figure was widely distributed and remains readily available on the secondary market.
The Auston Matthews Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 74) is a standard retail item that typically sells for $10 to $15 when new in box, as it is a common release with high production numbers. Its value generally remains stable or decreases slightly over time, meaning it is unlikely to appreciate significantly in the secondary market.
To authenticate your 2021 Auston Matthews Pop! (SKU 74), first verify that the figure is made of vinyl and features the standard Funko Pop! head-to-body ratio, as counterfeit versions often use lower-quality plastic or resin. Check the packaging for a holographic Funko Pop! sticker on the front and a barcode on the back that matches the official SKU 74. Additionally, inspect the figure for consistent paint application and the correct "Funko" logo on the base, noting that authentic 2021 releases typically have a smooth finish without the rough texture found in many fakes.

Funko Pop! figures are generally considered out of print once they are no longer listed on the official Funko website, and the Auston Matthews Hockey Pop! (SKU 74) is no longer available for purchase as new from the manufacturer. While it may occasionally appear in clearance bins at retail stores, it is primarily available through the secondary market, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for individual Funko Pop! figures, so you cannot obtain a certified grade for this item. To condition-check the figure, inspect it under bright light for common defects such as paint chips, seam lines, or discoloration on the vinyl, and verify that the head is properly seated on the body. If the figure is still in its original box, check for shelf wear, box damage, or the presence of the original hang tab, as these factors significantly impact its value.
