Common questions about the Babe Ruth (Pinstripes) Pop! Sports Legends from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Babe Ruth (Pinstripes) Pop! Sports Legends figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's widely distributed Sports Legends line, meaning it is generally available for purchase through major retailers and online marketplaces. While specific production runs may vary, this figure does not carry the limited edition status or scarcity associated with exclusive or convention-only releases.
The value of a Funko Pop! Sports Legends Babe Ruth (Pinstripes) figure varies significantly based on condition, packaging, and current market demand, but it typically trades between $10 and $25 for a sealed, in-box item. Because this is a standard production release rather than a limited edition, it does not generally command a premium over its original retail price. Prices can fluctuate on secondary markets like eBay, so checking recent completed sales for the specific SKU is the most reliable way to determine its current worth.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Sports Legends Babe Ruth (Pinstripes) figure, first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the figure itself matches the official product images in terms of paint application, sculpt details, and the specific pinstripe pattern on the uniform. Check the bottom of the figure for the standard Funko logo and copyright date, and ensure the packaging includes the correct SKU and barcode. If the figure appears to have uneven paint, misaligned parts, or a missing holographic seal, it may be a counterfeit, and you should compare it side-by-side with verified photos from reputable collectors or the official Funko website.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a Funko Pop! Sports Legends figure of Babe Ruth with the SKU 03. While Funko has produced various sports figures, this specific item and SKU combination do not appear in standard release records, so I cannot provide a verified release date without speculating.
The Babe Ruth (Pinstripes) Pop! Sports Legends figure is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a retired item, it is only obtainable through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail cost.
You should inspect the figure under bright, direct light to check for common defects such as paint chips, seam lines, or misaligned eyes, paying particular attention to the pinstripe details on the uniform. For a formal grade, submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, Beckett, or CGC, which will encapsulate the item and assign a numerical score based on its condition. Be aware that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the process is not reversible once the figure is sealed.
