To authenticate your Badtz-Maru Pop! Sanrio (SKU 1017), first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and the Sanrio licensing mark, as unlicensed reproductions often lack proper branding. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth finish, since counterfeit items frequently exhibit rough seams, off-color shading, or blurry eyes. Check the base of the figure for a molded copyright symbol and the year 2022, and compare the packaging against high-resolution images from Funko’s official website or authorized retailers to ensure the box art and window design match the genuine release.

For a definitive condition check, compare your specific SKU 1017 against high-resolution photos of known mint examples to identify any manufacturing flaws.
