Common questions about the Bane Pop! Heroes from Funko (2012).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Bane Pop! Heroes is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released in 2012 as part of the initial Pop! Heroes line, meaning it was widely available and produced in large quantities. While original 2012 figures can sometimes command a premium due to age and condition, the item itself is not a limited edition or exclusive release.
The 2012 Bane Pop! Heroes figure (SKU 20) is a common item that typically sells for between $5 and $15 in used condition, depending on the state of the box and figure. Because this character has been re-released in various other lines and is not a rare first edition, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market.
No, the Bane Pop! Heroes figure did not exist in 2012, as the Pop! Heroes line was not introduced by Funko until 2015. Additionally, SKU 20 in the Pop! Heroes series corresponds to the character Bane, but it was released in 2016, not 2012. Therefore, any item claiming to be a 2012 release of this specific figure is not a genuine Funko product.
The Bane Pop! Heroes was released in 2012 by Funko.
The Bane Pop! Heroes figure (SKU 20) is discontinued and no longer in print. It is not available to buy new from Funko or authorized retailers, and current listings for this item are limited to the secondary market.
There is no reliable information indicating that Funko produced a Bane Pop! Heroes figure with SKU 20 in 2012, as the Pop! Heroes line was not established until 2014 and SKU 20 in the original DC line typically corresponds to a different character. Consequently, standard grading services like CGC or Beckett do not have specific protocols for this exact item because it likely does not exist as described. If you possess a figure matching this description, it is advisable to verify the actual SKU and release year against Funko's official archives before seeking a professional condition assessment.
