To authenticate a Funko Pop! Basketball Mickey (SKU 553), first verify that the box is sealed with the standard Funko shrink wrap and that the plastic window is intact and free of scratches. Check the figure itself for consistent paint application, particularly on the basketball and jersey, and ensure the eyes are properly aligned without visible glue residue. To grade a Basketball Mickey Pop! Disney, you should submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, CGC, or Beckett, which will evaluate its condition and assign a numerical score. For a casual condition check, inspect the vinyl for any visible scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, and ensure the figure is still in its original sealed box with the window intact. If the box has been opened, the item is generally considered "loose" and will have a significantly lower value compared to a sealed, graded, or unopened variant.
