No, the Bebop Pop! Television is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released by Funko in 2014 as part of their general television series, meaning it was widely available to the public. While older Funko Pop! figures can sometimes become harder to find in mint condition after many years, this specific SKU does not have the limited print run or exclusivity status that defines rare collectibles.
The value of a Funko Pop! Television: Bebop (SKU 142) varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a standard 2014 release that is no longer in production, the loose figure typically sells for a modest price, often ranging from $5 to $15, while a sealed, mint-condition box may command a slightly higher premium, generally between $10 and $25. Exact market value fluctuates with current demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate real-time estimate.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Television Bebop (SKU 142), first verify that the figure is approximately 3.75 inches tall and that the packaging features the standard 2014-era design with the correct barcode and SKU number on the back. Check the base for the official Funko logo and ensure the vinyl has the characteristic smooth, matte finish without excessive seams or paint bleed. While there is no single definitive "authenticity mark" for this specific release, significant deviations in color, proportion, or packaging quality are strong indicators of a counterfeit. If the item appears consistent with these physical and packaging standards, it is likely genuine.
