Common questions about the Big Bird 6" Pop! Sesame Street from Funko (2016).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Big Bird 6" Pop! Sesame Street is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the widely distributed Sesame Street line, and its 2016 release date means it has been available for many years. While specific production runs can vary, this character is a staple of the collection and is generally easy to find in retail stores and online marketplaces.
The value of a 2016 Big Bird 6" Pop! Figure (SKU 10) fluctuates based on condition and market demand, but it typically sells for between $10 and $20 in used condition. New, unopened copies generally command a slightly higher price, often ranging from $15 to $25. Because this is a common, mass-produced item from a popular line, it does not possess significant collector value beyond its face price.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Big Bird, first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and the Sesame Street licensing mark, as unauthorized reproductions often lack proper trademark branding. Inspect the physical figure for quality control issues, such as sharp paint lines, consistent plastic texture, and the correct 6-inch height, which distinguishes it from standard 3.75-inch figures. While there is no single universal serial number for this specific 2016 release, the presence of the SKU 10 on the packaging and the absence of the "Funko" logo on the figure itself (which is standard for licensed characters) are key indicators of authenticity. If the item was purchased from a reputable retailer, it is highly likely to be genuine, but any significant deviations in color, proportion, or packaging quality should prompt further verification.
The Big Bird 6" Pop! Sesame Street was released in 2016 by Funko.
The Big Bird 6" Pop! Sesame Street (SKU 10) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. It is a discontinued item from the 2016 release, meaning it is only available through the secondary market from third-party sellers.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so condition is assessed visually by the seller or buyer. You should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, chipped plastic, seam lines, and scratches, paying particular attention to the head and feet. Additionally, check the packaging for creases, tears, or fading, as the box condition significantly impacts the value of sealed items.
