Common questions about the Big Bird In Nest Pop! Sesame Street from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Big Bird In Nest Pop! (SKU 1612) is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-production figure released by Funko in 2024 as part of their regular Sesame Street line, meaning it was widely available and produced in large quantities. While specific color variants or limited-edition releases can be rare, this standard version is common in the secondary market.
The retail value of the 2024 Big Bird In Nest Pop! (SKU 1612) is typically around $12.99, which serves as the baseline for its worth in new, sealed condition. Because this is a recent release, its secondary market price generally hovers near or slightly below retail unless it is part of a complete set or has specific collector demand. As a standard production figure, it does not currently command a significant premium over its original selling price.
To authenticate your 2024 Big Bird In Nest Pop! (SKU 1612), first verify that the packaging is intact and features the official Funko logo, the specific SKU number, and a holographic security sticker on the back. Examine the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, smooth seams, and the correct sculpting of Big Bird’s feathers and nest, as counterfeit versions often exhibit sloppy molding or faded colors. You can also cross-reference the product images and dimensions against the official Funko website or reputable collector databases to ensure the item matches the genuine 2024 release specifications.

Funko Pop! figures are generally produced on a limited-run basis and are frequently discontinued once initial inventory sells out. As of my last update, there is no official confirmation that the 2024 Big Bird In Nest figure (SKU 1612) remains in active print, meaning it is likely no longer available to purchase new from major retailers. I recommend checking current stock on Funko's official website or authorized retailers to verify its immediate availability.
There is no official third-party grading service for Funko Pops, so you should assess the condition yourself by inspecting the vinyl for scratches, paint chips, or molding defects. Pay close attention to the nest component, as the textured material is prone to chipping and discoloration compared to the smooth vinyl of the character. Verify that the figure is securely seated in the nest and that the base is free from scuffs or cracks, as these are common indicators of wear.
