Common questions about the Biz Markie Pop! Rocks from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Biz Markie Pop! Rocks figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's 2022 release cycle, and like most regular Pop! Rocks figures, it was widely distributed and is generally available for purchase at retail prices.
The Biz Markie Pop! Rocks figure (SKU 274) is a standard mass-produced vinyl collectible that typically retails for between $10 and $15. Because it is not a limited edition or exclusive item, its value is generally pegged to its current retail price, and it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without examining it directly. To authenticate your Funko Pop! Rocks, check the packaging for the official Funko logo, a barcode, and a holographic security sticker, and ensure the figure's paint application and sculpting match official product images. If the item lacks these standard manufacturing markers or the packaging appears damaged and resealed, it may be a counterfeit.
The Biz Markie Pop! Rocks was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Biz Markie Pop! Rocks, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. This item is now only available through the secondary market, such as resale platforms or collectibles dealers, where prices may vary based on condition and demand.
Pop! Rocks figures are generally not graded by major third-party authentication services like PSA or Beckett, so the standard approach is to inspect the item yourself for common defects. Check the vinyl surface for scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, and verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of smudges. Ensure the figure is securely seated in its window box and that the packaging is free from significant dents, tears, or fading, as these factors significantly impact resale value.
