To authenticate your 2020 Black Lighting Pop! (SKU 344), verify that the box is sealed with a holographic sticker and that the figure itself has the correct paint application and proportions for the Black Lightning character. Check the bottom of the figure for the standard Funko copyright stamp and ensure the plastic is free of the excessive seams or discoloration often found in counterfeits. The Black Lightning Pop! Vinyl Figure (SKU 344) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2020 release, it is considered a discontinued item, meaning any new purchases would only be found on the secondary market from third-party sellers.
To grade a Black Lighting Pop! Heroes figure, you should submit it to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, CGC, or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on factors like paint condition, molding quality, and packaging integrity. For a self-assessment, inspect the vinyl for any mold lines, paint scratches, or discoloration, and verify that the box is free of significant wear, dents, or fading. Since these figures are often sold in sealed boxes, the condition of the packaging is a major determinant of value, so check for any "shelf wear" or damage to the box corners and edges.
