Common questions about the Black Panther Pop! Comic Covers from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Black Panther Pop! Comic Covers figure is not considered rare, as it was a standard retail release from Funko’s 2023 lineup. It was widely available through major retailers and Funko’s own channels, meaning production numbers were high and it is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The value of the 2023 Black Panther Pop! Comic Covers (SKU 36) fluctuates based on condition and market demand, but new-in-box copies typically retail between $15 and $25. Because this is a standard production figure from a recent year, it is unlikely to command a premium price above its original retail value unless it is part of a complete set. For the most accurate current pricing, checking recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay is recommended.
To authenticate your 2023 Black Panther Pop! Comic Covers figure, first verify that the packaging is a sealed, shrink-wrapped box with the correct Funko logo and the specific SKU number 36 printed on the label. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper sculpting of the mask and suit details, and the standard Pop! vinyl material feel, as counterfeit items often feature poor paint jobs or incorrect proportions. While there is no single definitive "secret" mark, comparing the item side-by-side with high-resolution images of the official 2023 release from Funko's catalog will help identify any discrepancies in color or design.

I cannot find reliable information confirming that the 2023 Black Panther Pop! Comic Covers (SKU 36) is currently in print or available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2023 release, it is likely a limited edition item that has sold out, making it primarily available through the secondary market.
To grade a Black Panther Pop! Comic Covers figure, you should submit it to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, CGC, or Beckett, which will evaluate the item on a 10-point scale and encapsulate it in a tamper-evident slab. For a less formal condition check, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, and verify that the figure is sealed in its original box with the window intact if you are purchasing it new. Keep in mind that comic cover designs are often printed on the box window or a separate insert, so the condition of the packaging is just as critical to the figure's value as the vinyl itself.
