No, the Borat Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2022 as part of Funko's regular movie licensing lineup. These figures are manufactured in large quantities and are widely available through major retailers and secondary markets.
The retail value of a new, sealed Funko Pop! Borat (SKU 1269) typically ranges from $10 to $15, which is close to its original retail price. Because this figure is a standard release from a popular movie franchise, it does not command a significant premium over its MSRP. Prices may fluctuate slightly based on current market demand and the specific condition of the item.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Borat (SKU 1269), first verify that the box is sealed with a tamper-evident sticker and that the figure inside matches the official product images for the 2022 release. Check the figure's paint application for consistency, ensuring there are no air bubbles, rough seams, or misaligned eyes, which are common signs of counterfeits. You can also cross-reference the SKU and copyright date on the box against Funko's official catalog, though note that Funko does not provide individual authentication services for standard retail items.

Funko has discontinued the Borat Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1269), so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. This item is now only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
To grade a Borat Pop! Movies figure, you should submit it to a professional third-party grading service such as PSA, CGC, or Beckett, which will evaluate the item based on specific criteria including paint application, molding quality, and packaging condition. For a casual condition check, inspect the figure under bright light for paint chips, mold lines, or discoloration, and verify that the original box is free from significant damage, creases, or price stickers. Keep in mind that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the final grade is subjective based on the grader's assessment at the time of inspection.
