Common questions about the Braden Holtby Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Braden Holtby Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's mainstream hockey line, and while specific batches may vary in availability, it does not carry the limited edition status or scarcity associated with rare collectibles.
The value of a Braden Holtby Pop! Hockey figure varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a standard production item, it typically sells for a modest price on the secondary market, often ranging from a few dollars to around $10–$15 for a loose figure, while sealed copies may command a slightly higher premium. Prices can fluctuate based on current demand and the specific marketplace, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine its current market value.
There is no widely recognized Funko Pop! figure of Braden Holtby in the standard hockey line, and the specific SKU 16 does not correspond to a known official release of his. Because this item does not appear in Funko's official catalog, it is likely a counterfeit, a mislabeled product, or a non-Funko third-party figure. To authenticate it, you should compare the figure's mold, paint application, and box printing against verified images of official Funko releases, noting that genuine Funko Pops typically feature a specific logo and consistent quality control that fakes often lack.
Funko does not publish specific release dates for individual Pop! figures in their official documentation, making it difficult to provide a precise launch date for the Braden Holtby figure. While the figure is part of the NHL Pop! Hockey series, which has been in production since 2017, the exact release window for this specific SKU is not reliably documented in public records.
Funko has discontinued the Braden Holtby Pop! Hockey figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. While the item is out of production, it may occasionally appear on secondary markets like eBay or Amazon, where prices are typically set by sellers rather than Funko.
Grading a Funko Pop! figure is a subjective process that typically involves inspecting the item for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, and scratches on the vinyl surface. While professional grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade based on these factors, most collectors perform a visual inspection under good lighting to assess the figure's condition for personal records or resale. There is no standardized, objective grading scale for these items outside of third-party authentication services, so condition checks rely heavily on the inspector's experience and attention to detail.
