Common questions about the Brutus Buckeye Pop! College from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Brutus Buckeye Pop! College is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's 2019 college sports line, which was widely distributed to major retailers and sold in large quantities. Because it was a common release rather than a limited edition, it remains readily available on the secondary market.
The Brutus Buckeye Pop! (SKU 10) is a common item from Funko's 2019 College series, and its value is primarily determined by whether it is new in box or loose. New in box copies typically retail for approximately $10 to $15, while loose figures generally sell for $5 to $8. Because this is a standard production item without rare variants, prices remain relatively stable and do not fluctuate significantly based on market trends.
It is not possible to definitively authenticate a specific Funko Pop! figure as genuine without physical inspection, as counterfeit items are common in the collectibles market. You should examine the figure for telltale signs of counterfeiting, such as poor paint application, misaligned eyes, rough seams, or a lack of the official Funko logo on the base. Additionally, verify that the box features the correct SKU and barcode, and compare the item against high-resolution images from the official Funko website or reputable retailers. If the item was purchased from an authorized retailer, it is significantly more likely to be authentic than one bought from an unverified third-party marketplace.
The Brutus Buckeye Pop! College was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Brutus Buckeye Pop! College figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. While it may occasionally appear on secondary markets like eBay or Amazon, availability is limited to existing stock from previous retail runs.
Grading a Funko Pop! figure like the Brutus Buckeye involves inspecting the vinyl for manufacturing defects such as seam lines, paint overspray, or chipped edges, as well as checking the box for any damage. While professional grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade to sealed figures, most collectors simply assess the condition visually on a scale from Mint to Poor. For this specific 2019 release, pay particular attention to the eyes and any printed details on the uniform, as these areas are prone to wear if the figure has been handled.
