No, the Cady Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1703) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2024 as part of their regular movie line, meaning it is widely available through major retailers and secondary markets. While specific variants like Chase or Exclusive editions may be scarcer, the base figure is a common release.
The retail value of the Cady Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1703) is typically between $12 and $15. As a 2024 release, its secondary market value generally hovers near retail price, with sealed copies occasionally selling for a slight premium depending on local demand.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without examining it in person. To authenticate your Cady Pop! Movies figure, check for a holographic sticker on the packaging, a clear and legible SKU number (1703) on the box, and consistent paint application and molding on the vinyl figure itself. If the packaging feels flimsy, the colors are off, or the figure has visible mold lines, it may be a counterfeit.
The Cady Pop! Movies was released in 2024 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Movies figures, including Cady from Mean Girls, are generally produced in limited runs and are frequently discontinued once the initial inventory sells out. While the specific 2024 release may have been available through major retailers like Target, Walmart, or the Funko website at launch, it is likely no longer in print as of late 2024. Availability for new, sealed units is now typically limited to third-party resellers, where prices often exceed the original retail value.
Grading a Cady Pop! figure involves inspecting the vinyl for surface imperfections such as scratches, scuffs, or mold seams, as well as checking for paint defects like chipping or misalignment. You should also verify that the figure is securely attached to the base and that the packaging, if included, is free from dents, tears, or fading. While third-party grading services exist for high-value collectibles, most standard Pop! figures are evaluated by collectors based on these visual criteria and their original box condition.
