To authenticate your Sideshow Collectibles Captain Rex figure, first verify that the SKU 710532 matches the product code printed on the packaging and the figure's base. Inspect the sculpting quality, paint application, and articulation for consistency with Sideshow's 2014 production standards, as counterfeits often exhibit sloppy molding lines or incorrect color saturation. You can also compare your item against high-resolution images of the genuine 2014 release to check for specific details like the helmet design and armor texture. If the packaging is missing, the physical characteristics of the figure itself are the primary indicators of authenticity.

Sideshow Collectibles discontinued the Captain Rex 1/6th scale figure in 2014, so it is no longer in print or available to buy new from the manufacturer. The item is currently only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms or private collectors.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Sideshow Collectibles figures, so you should assess the condition yourself by inspecting the paint for scratches, checking the joints for looseness, and verifying that the sculpt is free of stress cracks or mold lines. For a formal valuation, you can submit the item to a professional appraiser who specializes in high-end collectibles, though they will provide an appraisal rather than a universal grade.
