To authenticate your Carl and Ellie Pop! Disney, examine the paint quality, as genuine Funko figures typically feature clean, precise lines without significant bleeding or airbrushing artifacts. Check the bottom of the figure for a molded copyright symbol and the year of manufacture, which should align with the 2020 release date. Additionally, verify that the packaging includes a holographic sticker and the correct SKU number, 979, printed on the box. If the figure feels unusually light or the plastic appears brittle and yellowed, it may be a counterfeit.

To condition-check a Carl and Ellie Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl surface for any paint chips, cracks, or molding defects, paying close attention to the characters' facial features and accessories like Carl's glasses and Ellie's hat. Verify that the figure is securely seated within the original window box and that the packaging is free from significant dents, tears, or fading, as these factors heavily influence the item's value. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service, though many collectors simply assess the condition visually based on the presence of these common flaws.
