Common questions about the Carmen Sandiego Pop! Television from Funko (2018).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Carmen Sandiego Pop! Television (SKU 662) is not considered rare. It was part of a standard mass-produced retail release in 2018, meaning it was widely distributed and is not a limited edition or exclusive variant. While specific conditions like "mint in box" may affect value, the figure itself is a common collectible.
The 2018 Carmen Sandiego Pop! Television figure (SKU 662) is a standard retail item that typically sells for between $5 and $15 in new, sealed condition on the secondary market. Because it is a common release from a popular franchise, it does not command a premium price over its original retail value, and unsealed or damaged copies are worth significantly less.
To authenticate your Carmen Sandiego Pop! Television (SKU 662), verify that the box features the official Funko logo and displays the correct character name and series title. The figure itself should have a smooth, uniform vinyl finish with the characteristic rounded head and body proportions, and the base should be solid and unmarked. While specific production year stamps are not always present on the figure, the packaging design and SKU number 662 align with the 2018 release of this specific television series line. If the paint is chipped, the vinyl feels rough, or the box lacks standard Funko branding, the item may be a counterfeit.
The Carmen Sandiego Pop! Television was released in 2018 by Funko.
The Carmen Sandiego Pop! Television (SKU 662) is currently out of print and is no longer available for purchase new from Funko or major retail partners. Since the 2018 release has been discontinued, the only way to acquire the figure is through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail cost.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for individual Funko Pop! figures, so condition is typically assessed by the seller or buyer using informal criteria such as the presence of factory flaws, paint damage, or missing accessories. For this specific item, you should inspect the vinyl for scratches, check that the eyes are properly aligned, and verify that the included accessories are intact and free from yellowing. If you are purchasing a sealed box, the condition is generally considered "mint" if the packaging is unopened, undamaged, and free of shelf wear.
