The Casey Jones Pop! Comics figure is not considered rare. It was part of a standard retail release by Funko in 2022, meaning it was widely available through major retailers and not limited to a small production run. While specific variants like Chase figures are rare, the standard version is common and easily found in the secondary market.
The value of a 2022 Funko Pop! Comics Casey Jones (SKU 36) varies significantly based on condition, with unopened retail copies typically trading between $10 and $25. Because this is a standard mass-produced figure from a popular series, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market unless it is a rare variant or part of a complete set. Prices can fluctuate based on current demand and the specific platform where it is listed.
To authenticate your Casey Jones Pop! Comics figure, verify that the box is sealed with the correct SKU number 36 and displays the official Funko logo and copyright information. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a secure base that matches the 2022 production standards. Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Casey Jones Pop! Comics figure, so it is technically still in print. However, availability for new units is often inconsistent due to production delays and supply chain issues, meaning it may be out of stock at major retailers. You can check current stock levels on Funko's official website or authorized retailers like Target and Walmart to see if it is available for purchase.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! figure involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, and verifying that the box is free of creases, tears, or significant wear. For a definitive grade, you should submit the item to a third-party authentication service such as PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's and packaging's state. Be aware that the specific "Casey Jones" character is not a standard Funko Pop! Comics release, so verify the exact product identity before seeking a grade.
