No, the Charmander Pop! Games figure (SKU 455) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item that has been released in multiple waves and years, making it widely available in the secondary market.
The value of a Charmander Pop! Games figure (SKU 455) varies significantly based on its condition, packaging, and specific release year, as the character has been reissued multiple times between 2019 and 2025. Generally, these figures retail for approximately $12 to $15, and they typically sell for similar amounts on the secondary market unless they are part of a limited edition, exclusive, or sealed set. Because the item is widely available and frequently reprinted, it does not usually command a premium over its original retail price for standard releases.
To authenticate your Charmander Pop! Games figure, verify that the packaging displays the official Funko logo and the correct SKU number 455 on the box. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the distinct "Pop!" branding on the base, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy molding or faded colors. Since Funko releases this character across multiple years from 2019 to 2025, check the specific release year and edition details on the box to ensure they match the intended variant, noting that the presence of a holographic sticker on the packaging can further confirm authenticity for newer releases.

Funko has not officially announced the discontinuation of the standard Charmander Pop! Games figure (SKU 455), so it remains technically in print. However, availability for this specific item fluctuates significantly, and it is frequently out of stock at major retailers. While you can check current inventory on Funko's official website or authorized dealers, the figure is often only available through the secondary market if it is not in stock at retail.
To condition-check a Charmander Pop! Games figure, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to the flame tip and claws which are prone to damage. Verify that the figure is seated correctly in the base and that the box is free of significant dents, creases, or shelf wear, as these factors significantly impact resale value. For a formal grade, submit the item to a third-party grading service such as PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's cosmetic integrity and packaging condition.
