Common questions about the Cheshire Cat (Anniversary) Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Cheshire Cat (Anniversary) Pop! is not considered a rare item. It is a standard production figure released by Funko to commemorate the brand's anniversary, and it is widely available through major retailers and secondary markets. While specific anniversary editions can sometimes have lower print runs than standard releases, this figure remains a common collectible for most buyers.
The Cheshire Cat (Anniversary) Pop! Disney (SKU 974) is a standard retail item that typically trades at or near its original retail price of approximately $12.00 to $15.00. Because this figure was part of a large, widely distributed anniversary series, it does not command a significant premium on the secondary market. Its value remains stable and accessible, making it a common entry-level collectible rather than a rare investment.
I cannot determine the authenticity of your specific item without a physical inspection or high-resolution images. To authenticate a Funko Pop! yourself, check the box for a holographic sticker, verify the SKU 974 matches the official product listing, and examine the vinyl for consistent paint application and the correct Funko logo on the base. If you purchased the item from an authorized retailer, it is likely genuine, but you can also contact Funko customer service with photos for a definitive verification.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for the Cheshire Cat (Anniversary) Pop! Disney with SKU 974. While Funko releases anniversary editions periodically, the exact launch date for this specific SKU is not clearly documented in available records.
Funko has discontinued the Cheshire Cat (Anniversary) Pop! (SKU 974), so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from official retail channels. This item is part of the limited-edition 20th Anniversary series, which means it is now only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices typically exceed the original retail value.
There is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for individual Funko Pop! figures, so you should assess the condition yourself by checking for common defects such as paint chips, seam lines, or figure separation. For the Cheshire Cat (Anniversary) variant, pay close attention to the tail and facial features, as these areas are prone to damage during shipping. If you are looking for a verified value assessment, you can sell the figure to a reputable reseller who will inspect it, but you cannot obtain a formal grade certificate for this specific item.
