Common questions about the Cheshire Cat (Chase) Pop! Disney from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
Yes, the Cheshire Cat (Chase) Pop! Disney is considered rare because it is a Chase variant, which is produced in significantly lower quantities than standard figures. Chase variants are typically marked with a red box and are generally estimated to have a production ratio of approximately 1 in 30 standard figures, making them much harder to find in stores than the regular edition.
The value of the 2022 Cheshire Cat (Chase) Pop! Disney (SKU 1199) fluctuates based on market demand and condition, but it typically trades in the range of $25 to $50 for a sealed figure. Because Chase variants are produced in limited quantities, prices can spike significantly if the item is in high demand or if the specific retail location is sold out. For the most accurate current valuation, it is best to check recent "sold" listings on platforms like eBay or collectibles marketplaces.
To authenticate your Cheshire Cat (Chase) Pop! Disney, first verify that the box is sealed with a black Chase sticker, which is the primary indicator of this variant. Examine the figure itself for high-quality paint application and sharp sculpting details, as Chase variants are produced in limited quantities and typically feature superior craftsmanship compared to standard releases. You can further confirm authenticity by checking the SKU 1199 on the packaging and comparing the figure against verified images from reputable collector communities or the official Funko website. If the box lacks the Chase sticker or the figure shows signs of poor manufacturing, it is likely a counterfeit or a standard edition mislabeled as a Chase.
The Cheshire Cat (Chase) Pop! Disney was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Cheshire Cat (Chase) Pop! Disney figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from official retailers. Because Chase variants are produced in limited quantities, this item is now only available through the secondary market, such as eBay or other collector platforms, where prices often exceed the original retail value.
To condition-check a Cheshire Cat (Chase) Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl surface under bright light for any mold lines, paint chips, or scuffs, paying close attention to the character's distinctive grin and tail. Verify that the figure is securely seated in its base and that the packaging, if present, is free from significant creasing, tears, or water damage. Since Chase figures are produced in limited quantities, their value is heavily dependent on their original state, so any visible defects will significantly lower their market price.
