Common questions about the Cheshire Cat (Standing On Head) Pop! Disney from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Cheshire Cat (Standing On Head) Pop! Disney is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2022. While specific variants like chase figures or limited editions may have lower production numbers, the standard SKU 1199 was widely distributed and is generally accessible to collectors.
The Cheshire Cat (Standing On Head) Pop! Disney (SKU 1199) is a standard retail release from 2022, and its value is primarily determined by its condition and whether it remains sealed in its original box. As a common item in the Disney line, it typically sells for a modest premium over its original retail price, often ranging between $10 and $20 for a sealed figure, while open figures generally have significantly lower resale value. Exact market prices fluctuate based on current demand and local availability, so checking recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces is the most reliable way to determine its current worth.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Cheshire Cat (Standing On Head), first verify that the box includes a holographic sticker and that the figure itself has the correct SKU 1199 and year 2022 printed on the base. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, proper seam lines, and the distinct "standing on head" pose, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy molding, off-color eyes, or missing accessories. If the packaging appears damaged or the figure lacks the standard Funko branding, consider having it appraised by a certified authentication service for a definitive verification.
The Cheshire Cat (Standing On Head) Pop! Disney was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko does not publicly disclose specific production run lengths or definitive discontinuation dates for individual Pop! figures, so there is no official confirmation that this item is out of print. However, because it is a 2022 release, it is likely no longer available new in box from major retailers, and current availability is typically limited to the secondary market where prices may vary significantly.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, misaligned eyes, or seams, while also verifying that the box is free of significant damage, dents, or fading. For this specific 2022 release, you should ensure the Cheshire Cat figure is securely seated on its base and that the packaging remains sealed if you intend to sell it as a sealed item. If you are seeking a professional grade, the primary service for Funko Pops is Beckett Grading Services (BGS), which evaluates both the figure and the box to assign a numerical score based on their condition.
