Common questions about the Chunk Pop! Movies from Funko (2014).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Chunk Pop! Movies (SKU 79) is not considered rare. It was part of Funko's initial 2014 release of the Chunk line, which was widely distributed to major retailers. Because it was a standard mass-market item from the brand's early catalog, it is generally easy to find in both new and used conditions.
The value of a Funko Chunk Pop! Movies figure (SKU 79) depends heavily on its condition, with unopened figures typically trading between $15 and $30, while opened figures generally sell for $5 to $15. As a 2014 release, this item is considered common in the secondary market, so prices remain modest unless the figure is in mint condition or part of a complete set. For the most accurate current valuation, check recent sales on platforms like eBay or Mercari, as prices fluctuate based on demand and rarity.
The Funko Chunk Pop! Movies (SKU 79) is a legitimate product line released by Funko in 2014, featuring larger-than-standard vinyl figures. To authenticate your item, check the base for a molded "Funko" logo and verify that the paint is crisp without bleeding or chipping. Examine the packaging for the official Funko branding and check that the figure's proportions match the known "Chunk" series specifications. If the vinyl feels unusually light or the eyes lack the characteristic glossy finish, it may be a reproduction.
The Chunk Pop! Movies was released in 2014 by Funko.
The Funko Chunk Pop! Movies series is considered out of print and is no longer produced by the manufacturer. While the original 2014 release is discontinued, Funko has periodically reissued select titles from the line, so availability of new units depends on which specific movie title you are looking for. You should check current retail inventory or Funko's official store to confirm if a particular SKU is currently in stock.
Chunk Pop! Movies figures are typically graded using standard collectible condition scales, focusing on the integrity of the vinyl body, the clarity of the paint, and the condition of the base. Inspect the figure for common defects such as hairline cracks, paint chips, or scuffs on the glossy surface, paying close attention to the head and hands where wear is most likely to occur. Since this specific SKU (79) is from the 2014 release, check for yellowing of the plastic or fading of the paint, which are common signs of age-related degradation.
