No, the Classic Mickey Pop! (SKU 798) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's extensive Disney line that has been widely available in retail stores and online for many years. While specific production runs may vary, it is a common collectible and does not carry the scarcity associated with limited editions or discontinued exclusive releases.
The value of a Classic Mickey Pop! Disney (SKU 798) varies significantly based on condition, packaging, and current market demand. As a common, mass-produced item, it typically sells for a modest price, often ranging from $5 to $15 for a loose figure or a sealed box, depending on the seller. For precise, up-to-date pricing, you should check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay.
To authenticate a Funko Pop! Classic Mickey (SKU 798), first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and a scannable QR code that links to the product page. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth finish, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy painting or rough edges. Additionally, check the base for the correct copyright information and ensure the packaging materials match the quality of genuine Funko releases. If the item lacks these specific manufacturing markers or the QR code fails to verify, it is likely a replica.
The Classic Mickey Pop! Disney (SKU 798) was released in 2017 as part of the initial wave of the Disney Pop! line. This specific figure was among the first products introduced when Funko launched its dedicated Disney collection.
Funko has discontinued the Classic Mickey Pop! Disney (SKU 798), so it is no longer in print or available to buy new from the manufacturer. This item is now considered out of print, and collectors typically seek it out through secondary markets, resellers, or used inventory.
To condition-check a Classic Mickey Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl surface under bright light for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to high-contact areas like the ears and hands. Verify that the figure is seated securely in its original box with the window intact, as the packaging is a primary factor in determining the item's value. Look for signs of wear on the box, such as creases, fading, or damage to the window, and ensure the figure matches the specific SKU 798 design to confirm authenticity.
