Common questions about the Cliff Clavin Pop! Television from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Cliff Clavin Pop! Television figure (SKU 797) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2019 release wave of The Big Bang Theory series, and it was widely distributed through major retail channels. While specific variants like Chills or Glow in the Dark editions may have lower print runs, the standard vinyl figure remains common and easily accessible on the secondary market.
The value of a Cliff Clavin Pop! Television figure varies significantly based on its condition, whether it is in the original box, and current market demand. As a standard retail item from 2019, it typically sells for between $5 and $15 on secondary markets like eBay or Amazon. Prices may be slightly higher for sealed, unopened boxes, while open figures generally command a lower price.
You can authenticate your Funko Pop! by checking for a holographic sticker on the bottom of the box, which is standard for items released in 2019. Verify that the SKU 797 and the "Television" series branding match the official Funko product listings for that year. Additionally, inspect the figure for consistent paint quality, sharp edges, and the correct character likeness, as counterfeit items often feature blurry details or incorrect coloration. If the packaging lacks the holographic seal or the figure feels lightweight and poorly molded, it is likely a replica.
The Cliff Clavin Pop! Television was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Cliff Clavin Pop! Television figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from official retailers. While it may occasionally appear as a third-party listing, these are typically used or refurbished items sold at a premium, meaning the product is effectively out of production.
Grading a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl for manufacturing defects such as seams, paint overspray, or chipped plastic, as well as checking the box for shelf wear, fading, or damage. While third-party grading services like PSA can assign a numerical score based on these factors, most collectors simply assess the item's condition on a scale from Mint to Poor. For a 2019 release, you should specifically look for signs of age-related yellowing on the plastic and ensure the figure is securely seated in its original packaging.
