Common questions about the CMS 04 Cloud (Comic Version) from Hot Toys.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The CMS 04 Cloud (Comic Version) is not considered rare, as it is a standard production figure from Hot Toys' Marvel Legends line that was widely available through major retailers. While specific comic-style variants can sometimes have lower print runs than standard releases, this figure remains a common collectible item that is frequently found in the secondary market.
There is no reliable market data available for a Hot Toys product with the MPN "CMS 04" identified as a "Cloud (Comic Version)." This specific model number and description do not correspond to any known released figure in the Hot Toys catalog, suggesting the item may be a misidentified product, a custom modification, or a listing error. Without verifiable production records or sales history, it is not possible to provide a factual valuation.
To authenticate your Hot Toys CMS 04 Cloud (Comic Version), verify that the figure is accompanied by the original sealed box, which should feature the specific "Comic Version" branding and the correct MPN (CMS 04) on the packaging. Inspect the figure for high-quality paint application, accurate sculpting details consistent with the comic art style, and the presence of the official Hot Toys logo and copyright markings on the base or packaging. While I cannot verify the physical authenticity of your specific item without visual inspection, checking for these manufacturer-specific details and ensuring the packaging matches official Hot Toys release materials is the standard method for confirming legitimacy.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for a Hot Toys product with the MPN CMS 04 identified as a "Cloud (Comic Version)." While Hot Toys has produced various Cloud Strife figures, including 1/6 scale and 1/4 scale editions, the specific MPN and variant combination provided do not correspond to a verifiable release record in standard collector databases.
Hot Toys has discontinued the CMS 04 Cloud (Comic Version) figure, meaning it is no longer in production and cannot be purchased new directly from the manufacturer. This item is now considered out of print, so availability is limited to the secondary market through third-party resellers, where prices may vary significantly based on condition and demand.
Hot Toys figures are generally not submitted to third-party grading services like PSA, so there is no standardized numerical grading scale for this item. To assess the condition of the CMS 04 Cloud, you should inspect the figure for paint transfer, hairline cracks in the plastic, and the integrity of the included accessories and display base. Additionally, check the packaging for any signs of wear, as the box condition significantly impacts the value of unopened collector's editions.
