Inspect the sculpt for high-quality paint application and sharp details, as counterfeit figures often exhibit sloppy painting, soft edges, or incorrect color tones. To condition-check a Sideshow Collectibles Commander Bacara figure, inspect the sculpt for stress cracks, particularly around the joints and the base of the head, and examine the paint for chipping or fading on high-contrast areas like the white and blue uniform sections. Verify that the clear parts, such as the visor and any energy effects, are free from clouding or deep scratches, and ensure the figure stands level on its base without excessive wobble. If you intend to submit it for a professional grade, use a service like CGC or Beckett, but note that most Sideshow figures from this era are graded based on their original retail packaging, so the box condition is critical to the final score.
