Asmus is a well-established manufacturer of die-cast military figures, and the "Series of Empires" line is a recognized product catalog. To authenticate your Pontifical Swiss Guard figure, verify that the packaging displays the Asmus logo and that the figure itself exhibits the high level of detail and paint quality typical of their production standards. While there is no single universal certificate of authenticity for these items, checking for consistent branding on the box and the figure's base, along with the absence of casting defects, is the standard method for confirming legitimacy.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for the "COOMODEL SERIES OF EMPIRES - PONTIFICAL SWISS GUARD" by Asmus. Condition-checking this Asmus figure involves inspecting the plastic for stress cracks, particularly around the joints and the base, as well as checking for paint loss on the uniform details and weapon. You should also verify that the figure stands securely on its base without wobbling and that any included accessories are intact. Since Asmus is a manufacturer of modern mass-produced models, professional grading services like PSA or NGC typically do not grade these items, so value is determined by the figure's physical state and completeness rather than a certified grade.
