Common questions about the Cubone Pop! Games from Funko (2020 2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Cubone Pop! Games figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s widely distributed Games line, and while specific years like 2020 or 2024 may have had limited print runs, the character itself is a common staple in the franchise. Collectors generally view this SKU as an accessible entry-level item rather than a scarce collectible.
The value of a Cubone Pop! Games figure (SKU 596) varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box, with unopened figures typically commanding a higher price than opened ones. As a standard production item from the 2020-2024 period, it is generally considered a common collectible rather than a rare investment, so its market value is usually modest. For the most accurate current pricing, I recommend checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay or specialized collectibles marketplaces, as I cannot provide real-time market data.
To authenticate your Cubone Pop! Games figure, verify that the SKU 596 is printed on the box and that the figure matches the official Funko Games line design. Check for high-quality paint application, clear eyes, and a solid, non-porous vinyl texture, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or soft, flexible plastic. You can also cross-reference the box art and product details with Funko's official website or reputable retailer listings to confirm the specific 2020 release specifications.

Funko Pop! Games figures are generally limited-edition items produced for specific retail partnerships, such as GameStop, and are not part of Funko's standard ongoing production line. Consequently, the Cubone Pop! Games figure is considered out of print and is no longer available for purchase new from official Funko channels. Collectors seeking this item must typically look to the secondary market, where prices are often significantly higher than the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Cubone Pop! Games vinyl figure involves inspecting the surface for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, or "gunk" on the eyes and paws. You should also examine the base for scuffs, cracks, or unevenness, and verify that the figure stands level without wobbling. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the item to a professional grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the severity of any visible flaws under magnification.
