Common questions about the Cupcakes Pop! Foodies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Funko Pop! Foodies Cupcakes figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released in 2023. Like most items in the Foodies series, it was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces, making it a common collectible rather than a limited edition.
The retail value of the 2023 Funko Pop! Foodies Cupcakes (SKU 213) is typically around $12.99, which serves as the baseline for its worth. In the secondary market, prices for this specific item generally fluctuate between $10 and $15 depending on current availability and demand. Because this is a common food-themed release rather than a rare collectible, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Foodies Cupcakes figure, first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the correct SKU number 213, along with a holographic security sticker. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth finish, as counterfeit figures often exhibit sloppy paint lines or misaligned parts. Additionally, check the base for a clean, molded Funko logo and ensure the figure fits securely into the window box without excessive gaps. If the packaging lacks these specific manufacturing details or the vinyl feels lightweight and brittle compared to genuine Funko products, the item is likely a counterfeit.
The Cupcakes Pop! Foodies was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation for the Cupcakes Pop! Foodies (SKU 213), so it is technically still in print. However, availability for new units can be inconsistent due to supply chain fluctuations, and it is often easier to find in stock at major online retailers than in physical stores.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or misaligned eyes, as well as checking the box for any damage that might affect its value. For a formal grade, you should submit the item to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's appearance and packaging integrity. Be aware that grading fees and turnaround times vary, and the process is generally not recommended for items with a low retail value.
