Check the base for the embossed Funko logo and ensure the paint application is clean without significant bleeding, as poor paint jobs are a common indicator of counterfeits. While specific production details for 2017 releases can vary, comparing the figure's proportions and facial features against high-resolution images from the official Funko website is the most reliable method for confirming authenticity.

Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, or misaligned parts, and verifying that the box is free from significant damage like crushed corners or faded printing. For formal grading, you can submit the item to a third-party service like PSA, which will encapsulate the figure and assign a numerical grade based on its cosmetic condition. Keep in mind that grading fees can be substantial relative to the typical market value of a standard 2017 release, so it is often more practical to simply document the condition with clear photographs for private sales.
