Common questions about the Darth Vader Pop! Trains from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Darth Vader Pop! Trains is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s 2023 Star Wars Trains series, which was widely distributed through major retail channels. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive release, it remains readily available on the secondary market.
The 2023 Darth Vader Pop! Trains figure by Funko is a standard retail collectible that typically sells for its original retail price of approximately $12 to $15 when new in box. As a common, non-exclusive release from a major manufacturer, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market, and its value generally remains at or below retail depending on current local stock availability.
Authenticating a Funko Pop! requires checking for specific quality markers, such as a smooth, uniform paint finish, sharp sculpting details, and a clear, legible logo on the base. You should also verify that the figure fits snugly within its window box and that the packaging materials, including the cardboard and plastic, match the high-quality standards of official Funko releases. If the item lacks these details, has visible mold lines, or features blurry printing, it is likely a counterfeit. For definitive confirmation, you can compare your figure side-by-side with verified images from Funko’s official website or consult with a reputable third-party authentication service.
The Darth Vader Pop! Trains was released in 2023 by Funko.
The 2023 Darth Vader Pop! Trains figure is no longer in print and has been discontinued by Funko. Because it is a retired item, it is no longer available to purchase new from official retailers or the Funko website. Collectors seeking this specific SKU must look for used or pre-owned copies on secondary markets such as eBay, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
It is important to clarify that Funko does not produce a "Darth Vader Pop! Trains" item, and the SKU 20 corresponds to the standard Darth Vader Pop! Vinyl Figure from the Star Wars collection, not a train product. Because the specific item described does not exist, there is no reliable grading information available for it. If you are referring to the standard Darth Vader Pop! Figure, condition is typically assessed by checking for paint transfer, missing parts, and box damage, though these figures are generally not professionally graded by major services like PSA.
