The David Pop! Movies figure (SKU 428) is generally considered a common item within the Funko Pop! Movies collection. Released in 2017, it was part of a standard production run rather than a limited edition, making it relatively easy to find in retail stores and online marketplaces. While its value may fluctuate based on condition and demand, it is not classified as a rare collectible.
The 2017 David Pop! Movies figure (SKU 428) is a standard production item, so its value is primarily determined by condition and market demand. In mint, sealed condition, it typically retails for around $10 to $15, while unsealed figures generally trade for $5 to $8. Because this is a common release, prices remain relatively stable and do not fluctuate significantly unless the character gains renewed popularity.
To authenticate your 2017 David Pop! (SKU 428), first verify that the vinyl figure is the correct size (approximately 3.75 inches) and that the box is sealed with the standard Funko branding. Check the bottom of the figure for a small molded "Funko" logo and confirm the SKU 428 is printed on the box label. Look for consistent paint application and sharp molding details, as poor paint or blurry features often indicate counterfeits. If the box is unopened, verify the holographic sticker and barcode match official Funko specifications for that release year.

The David Pop! Movies (SKU 428) is currently out of print and is no longer available to buy new from Funko. This figure, released in 2017, is now a discontinued item, meaning new stock is limited to remaining inventory at retailers or secondary market sellers.
To condition-check a David Pop! Movies (SKU 428), inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the face, hair, and the microphone prop. Verify that the figure stands level on its base and that the box is free of major dents or tears, as this vintage 2017 release is often sold without a box in the secondary market. For a formal grade, submit the figure to a third-party service like PSA or CGC, which will assign a numerical score based on the condition of the vinyl, paint, and accessories.
