No, the David Pop! Movies figure (SKU 615) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2018 and remains widely available in the secondary market. Collectors generally classify it as a common variant rather than a limited edition or exclusive release.
The value of a David Pop! Movies figure (SKU 615) depends heavily on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. Generally, unopened figures from this 2018 release typically sell for between $5 and $15 on the secondary market, while opened figures often fetch significantly less, sometimes under $5. Prices can fluctuate based on current demand and the specific character variant, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current market value.
To authenticate a 2018 Funko Pop! Movies David (SKU 615), examine the figure's paint application for consistent, clean lines without significant bleeding or pooling, which is common in counterfeits. Check the vinyl texture for a smooth, uniform finish and ensure the eyes are properly aligned and glossy. Verify that the box printing is sharp and that the SKU 615 matches the official Funko catalog for that year. If the figure feels unusually light, has a rough surface, or displays poor articulation, it is likely a replica.

The David Pop! Movies vinyl figure (SKU 615) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2018 release, it has been discontinued, meaning any new copies found on the market are likely from remaining retail stock or are resold items.
Grading a David Pop! Movies vinyl figure typically involves a visual inspection of the box, the figure, and the accessories for defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, or chipped plastic. If you seek a formal grade for investment purposes, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's condition relative to industry standards. For casual collectors, a simple check for "mint in box" status is usually sufficient, focusing on whether the packaging is unopened and the figure inside is free from visible flaws.
